In their Maths lessons, the children in Reception class have been measuring objects from the story ‘Titch’.
They have been using Multi-link cubes to create objects and describing them using mathematical language such as ‘longest’ and ‘shortest’. The children had to remember to line up the object and the cubes in order to measure it accurately. During their free play, the class also explored rulers and tape measures. They measured tables and chairs as well as their own constructions. The class also used the ‘popoids’ to make the longest snake they could!
